PC Bill Payment Service Terms, Conditions and Disclosures
FHCU's PC Bill Payment Service offers you the ability to make payments to
merchants/creditors electronically without having to write checks and buy
postage. You can make single or recurring monthly payments to mortgage
companies, utility companies, credit card companies and more, all from your
personal computer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You must have a share draft
(checking) account with FHCU to use PC Bill Payment Service.
-
You can arrange your payments to be recurring or single
payments. Recurring payments tend to be for the same amount each month and are
due on the same day each month (auto payments, mortgage, etc.).
-
To use the automatic PC Bill Payment feature, funds must be
available in your checking account (5) five business days prior to the due
date entered. Most payments are made electronically, however, some merchants
are not set up to accept electronic payments and FHCU's PC Bill Payment
processor will mail a check through the US Postal Service. FHCU is not
responsible for late payments due to mail service or circumstances beyond our
control.
-
If you make a payment to a payee or merchant registered with
the Automatic Clearing House (ACH), funds will be transferred electronically
to the payee or merchant approximately two (2) business days prior to the due
date.
-
Should FHCU be unable to process your payment request due to
insufficient funds in your checking account, a fee of $28 will be debited from
your account. FHCU reserves the right to suspend or terminate your PC Bill
Payment service, in whole or part, without prior notification.
-
In the event your balance in your checking account is not
sufficient and you have overdraft protection, FHCU will transfer funds from
your selected overdraft account and charge a transfer fee of $3.00. There will
be no transfer fee for an overdraft protection transfer from your line of
credit loan.
-
If a bill payment is made after 12:00 am Central Time, it will
be posted the following business day.
-
You cannot place a stop payment order on an item that has
already been sent. It will be your responsibility to collect any overpayment
of funds you have made to a merchant/payee. You may cancel or modify a payment
up 12:00 midnight Central Standard Time up to (5) business days prior to the
payment date.
-
You are responsible for maintaining your share draft account
balance in order to cover payments you authorize from your account. It is also
your responsibility to confirm that a merchant/payee has received a bill
payment
-
You agree to be bound by and comply with the Terms and
Conditions concerning PC Bill Payment and any regulations and laws pertaining
to FHCU's online applications.
-
You agree that you will not give your PIN (password), or make
it available, to anyone. If you believe that your PIN has been lost or stolen,
or someone accesses your account without your permission, notify FHCU
immediately at 317-352-0423 ext. 0 or 1-800-944-0423 ext. 0 during regular
business hours, or email us at member_services@familyhorizons.com.
-
We may change the Terms, Conditions, Disclosures, and fees at
any time and we will notify you of any such change. Your use of PC Bill
Payment following the receipt of such constitutes acceptance of any such
change.
-
The Terms, Conditions, and Disclosures shall be governed in
accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana.
FHCU PC Bill Payment Liability Limitation
FHCU will not be liable for missed payments, finance charges, or late fees due
to a failure on the part of any internet service provider, equipment
malfunctions, phone or communication line problems, or the failure of any
computer system to work properly. FHCU will not be liable for any losses
incurred as a result of errors on your part in providing an accurate merchant or
payee address, in providing your account number accurately, or in providing
accurate billing amounts, nor will we be liable for your failure to maintain
sufficient funds in your checking account. It is your responsibility to keep an
accurate account of your balance, and to record all bill payments made from your
FHCU checking account.
